Our services are geared toward any family — not just the poor and not just the rich. This is a “non-medical” business and no hands-on medical/clinical assistance is provided by our ParentCare Specialists. Therefore, no medical certifications are needed such as Home Health Aide, RN, LPN, etc. No clinical/medical advice will be provided to you and/or your parent related to their medical illness and treatment.
How our program works:
- Example #1: You work a lot and live in the same city as your parent. You aren’t able to visit as often as you ‘d like and when you do, it’s not a long visit. You are not able to take a full assessment of your parents’ living situation (i.e., taking full medications, grocery shopping, laundry, regular bathing, house cleaning, etc.). A ParentCare Specialist can provide this assistance to you.
- Example #2: You live out of town and you need someone to check on your parent(s) and you cannot make regular visits home to check on your parents. A ParentCare Specialist can provide this assistance to you.
- Example #3: You have a parent in a skilled nursing facility or in the hospital and you are going on vacation or out of town on business. You will be gone for several days. A ParentCare Specialist can visit your parent at the facility to ensure that your parent is in good hands.
The ParentCare programs we have developed are:
- ParentCare Basic – regularly scheduled visits to your parent(s) home to do the basic assessment only.
- ParentCare Plus – all of the Basic services, plus we’d be available to stay with them to play cards, watch a favorite program, assist with opening and sorting mail, gift wrapping, etc.
- ParentCare Away – visits to the home (day/afternon/night) while you are out of town. We can visit your parent first thing in the morning and right before bedtime in the evening.
We can also provide other services (see Concierge Services)
You (the customer) will receive a written report of our assessment along with details about the day. In addition, if you contract with us for Concierge/Errand Services, you will receive an itemized bill reflecting the time spent and amount for each service you selected. This, along with any receipts, will be provided to you upon completion of the assigned work.
